Getting to Skopelos & Travel Info
From nearest Airport / Port to Villa Anagennisis
One of the the most common, and easiest ways to reach Skopelos, is to fly into the nearest airport in Skiathos island.
There are several flights per day during the summer season, (May – October), landing from most European destinations.
Once you land at Skiathos Airport you’re just a short ferry ride across to the port of Glossa, (Loutraki).
Ferry Ride Duration: 20 -40 minutes (depending on type of vessel).
The second nearest Airport, (depending on the country of origin), is Volos Airport, (airport of Anhialos). There are shuttle buses that will transport you to Volos port for your ferry ride to Skopelos.
Ferry Ride Duration: 2,5 – 3,5 hours, (depending on type of vessel).
Skopelos can be reached by the following ports:
- Skiathos Port
- Volos Port
- Agios Konstantinos Port
- Mantoudi Port, (Evia)
- Thessaloniki Port, (not always the case).

Car hire is essential to reach Villa Anagennisis. Arrangements can be done in advance where we can recommend our favourite Car Hire Agencies for your convenience.
The nearest port is ‘Loutraki’, (Glossa). If arranged in advance, we can meet you at the port of Loutraki and escort you to the villa, (subject to a small surcharge).
Your rental car can be dropped off here upon arrival. Alternatively, we can meet you at Glossa village and lead you from there, (free of charge).
You can also disembark at the main port of Skopelos and have your car dropped off there at no extra charge. This can easily be arranged with our recommended Car Hire.
We highly recommend an escorted transfer to Villa Anagennisis due to the remoteness of the area. We can however, provide you with instructions if you prefer to get to the villa at your own pace.
